Widely Applied and Expanding its Range Rapidly

 

Polyurethane adhesives offer a good blend of cohesive strength and flexibility which makes them very tough, durable adhesives.

Polyurethanes bond well to most unconditioned substrates but may require the use of solvent-based primers to achieve high bond strengths. They offer good toughness at low temperatures but typically degrade in strength after long-term exposure over 302 °F (150°C). They cure to form thermoset polymers with good solvent and chemical resistance. They are extremely versatile and can range in cured form from extremely soft elastomers to rigid, extremely hard plastics, depending upon the duration of hard and soft segments in the resin.

  • Curing Conditions:Room - temperature vulcanized silicone rubber can cure at room temperature by reacting with moisture in the air without heating. It is usually divided into single - component and two - component systems. The single - component system is easy to use and can be directly used after opening the package, gradually curing under the action of moisture in the air. The two - component system needs to mix the two components evenly in a certain proportion before use and then cures at room temperature. This room - temperature curing characteristic makes its application scenarios more extensive, especially suitable for some occasions where heating curing cannot be carried out.
