Hot Melt Glue Stick Manufacturing Process

1. Raw Material Preparation

The main raw material of hot melt glue stick is hot melt glue granule, which is made of polypropylene and other additives through special processing. The hot melt glue granules are screened, washed and processed to ensure the quality of the raw materials.

2. Melting and Mixing

Add the processed hot melt glue granule to the melting equipment and heat them into a glue state. The temperature and time need to be controlled during the heating process to ensure the quality to the melted glue.

3. Extrusion Molding

At this stage, the molten hot melt glue is squeezed out of the extruder and passed through the mold for shaping. The extruder heats the glue and feeds it into the mold. The mold squeezes the glue out through the extrusion port and forms the desired shape. During the extrusion molding process, the pressure and speed of the extruder need to be controlled to obtain ideal product quality.

4. Cutting

After extrusion molding, a long hot melt glue stick will be obtained. In the cutting stage, the long hot melt glue stick needs to be cut to the required length. Cutting can be done using an automatic cutting machine or manually.
